Sam's eyes widened as the Cleric suddenly woke up, his teeth jerking away with blood dripping off his lips. He thought he had gotten enough blood to use the Fae's power, but he wasn't sure. Before he could consider it any further he was being grabbed by something that circled itself around his ankles and tripped him, his body slamming hard into the forest floor. For a moment, he panicked, scrabbled, nails trying to dig into crumbling dirt and melted snow for some kind of traction.
Trying to actually sort the problem, though...turning to the vines around his feet, he thought that they looked too strong for him to cut with the knife he had been given. Rather than try to do that, he looked up to Cleric and swallowed; he had not wanted to kill. Hopefully, he wouldn't.
Sam tried to throw the knife towards Cleric, aiming somewhere towards the Fae's chest. Hoping that the wound would hurt, enough to stun them and get him out of the vine's grasp, but not kill.
