She can hear the saw beginning to work, but the roots are so fucking big and she can barely move, and just in time for her eyes to lift for her friends – her family, Wessex has taken a hostage and Samuel is rooted much like herself. She can hear the Fae screaming at one another, Wessex’s own voice booming over them, and then suddenly there’s a flash of striped fur and teeth.
And she’s fucking stuck there.
Teeth meet her arm, the one she’s been using to saw, and while she doesn’t feel pain it’s far too much of a habit of this new body of hers, that she can’t help but to emit a shriek of frustration toward the fae. She tries to get her other hand tree, trying to guide the flame to Kitty, hoping it’ll cause more harm than good, and that the fae might stay far away from her. She can feel the fluid of the arm with the saw begin to pour from the bite wounds, and she grits her fanged teeth with a feral intensity of anger and frustration.
She trusts her flame, but she doesn’t trust the fluid in this body to not ignite with it. She remembers the burning feeling of her magic trying to flee when she Ascended. She doesn’t want to die because she’s combusted herself. How shitty of a way to go out, huh?
Rexanna tries to send her fire magic onto Kitty!
