There’s an immediate reaction: Wessex flinches, dropping back from the flames, the shock of being burned causing her to simultaneously (reflexively) lashing out with another pulse. Then another, once she realizes what’s happening - in case the first one doesn’t work. A double whammy, to make sure they aren’t going anywhere.
Yeah, she had a moment of stupidity - of thinking the Fae were honorable, or perhaps at least operate on something like that, but this is war. Words only go so far and not everyone is like her (don’t worry, she won’t underestimate them again). Winning is the goal, and now they’ve given her an excuse to kill, for not heeding the warnings. As much as she could use Leroy’s fire-blood for the tree and it might be prudent to keep him alive, she’s pissed and he’s closest and perhaps easiest to reach, assuming her pulses struck true and he can’t fly off.
Without an inch of remorse the Wraith snarls, releasing both sets of claws and swipes viciously at the fire-wielding Fae, aiming to behead, but satisfied with anything that strikes true and draws blood. And then she comes for Hissy - leaping, darting towards him, arms outstretched to thrust up and into his torso. Trying to run the hopefully stunned Fae through with her claws, to show him that their stone and fire are no match for the Voice's upgrades.
She warned them. They should have listened.
