Conjuring a rock HISSY lobs it at Wessex. Though thanks to her speed in the darkness it goes wide. Unluckily the queen's first arrow misses CLERIC, but the second strikes him squarely in the shoulder. Spinning about, KITTY lunges for Wessex with her claws outstretched. Striking the queen in the chest KITTY's claws scrape against her armor and into her skin, though the damage is minute. Groaning, CLERIC falls to the ground, more healing light pouring into the tree. As this is happening, so close to the trunk, one of MATHAIR'S boughs sweep back and sends Wessex flying about 12 feet.

As Samuel strikes out for SMASHY his knife indeed goes through the leather of his shoe and into his foot. Though because it isn't a book, the fae is not held down by the blade. Instead, he strikes out at the retreating ascended, but as Sam goes invisible again, SMASHY's attack misses.

Rexanna 's attack strikes the tree with a red-hot flash and immediately she is let go. However creating fire so near to herself makes the fluid inside of her warble precariously.
