Senu had expected to be the leader or the teacher in any scenario. All her life she had been an apprentice or a student, learning earnestly from her betters. This had been the first occasion that she found herself teaching or coaching others, and she tried her best to emulate the wisdom and guidance of her teachers and mentors who had taught her so well. The two redheaded women were both more than friendly, and she settled into a comfortable ease.
Soon enough, the trio were down with the work of the troughs, and it was time to proceed onto filling them up with food and water. Grabbing two buckets in each hand, she briskly makes her way down to the stream to fill them up. Being used to be a water-carrier back home, she had learnt a thing or two over the years and applying the same strategy here should be no different.
Arriving at the stream, she would fill both buckets up to the middle mark and carry them back to the troughs.
With the water level at the half, she would not have to worry about spilling any, and the load would be far lighter as well, allowing her to move quicker without struggling, thereby increasing productivity. Reaching the troughs, she would empty its contents into the troughs, and just as enthusiastically as before, heading back with empty buckets to the stream once more. By the time she returned with her second trip, they should have all the water they needed, and could move on with the next task at hand.
