Numerous personal losses and heart breaks. Failing her god. Losing her child. Of course, he didn't know what all she had suffered, nor would he likely acknowledge it. But while he had been off in the woods or wherever, wasting away in self-pity, she had been surviving and fighting her demons.
Not that she was perfect, far from it. But a quiter Phoebe Steadman was not.
"I've helped plenty of people here to know that what you're saying is in ignorance." she said simply. Even as her very soul hurt from the verbal thrashing she received, even as she internally begged Frey to make the pain go away, she stood against him. "Having support doesn't make you weak or incapable. All you're doing is proving how little you understand about me."
