From a healer’s perspective you are starving to death, and I simply won’t stand for that in my home when I’ve food enough to share.” she said, setting the plate before him.” She had gone hungry herself enough times when she first arrived, her practice having not had enough of a name to get much business at that point, that she hated the thought of anyone else going through the same thing – self-imposed or otherwise.
Shortly after the boys returned, scrambling up onto their chairs around the table. They waited politely for Phoebe to stake a seat as well with her own modest plate before digging in – Jax with the most gusto. Phoebe kept a close eye on them while they ate, more attentive to her nephews than her own plate.
