He had always assumed it would be something he would just eventually do, but he had never felt any great passion for the prospect. It was a lot of work and he knew he didn't have the patience for any rebellions. Parenting, good parenting, required discipline but also plenty of love, and he had always struggled to give that openly.
As Loren mentioned 'experiences' with Frey, Abasi shifted to look at him, surprised. Was he not Abandoned? As far as he knew Frey was one of the Gods that would not speak to them, let alone sleep with them. "You...slept with a God? How did that come about? I thought that they hated us."
Perhaps Loren had not shown him all of his true self yet. Abasi found himself looking at the man with a new feeling, somewhere been respect and wariness.
