Perhaps she shouldn’t have to put him through all of this, if she’s not meant to be anyway.
She can’t even find it in her to reply to Samuel, letting him call out for help. Remi is there soon too, she can hear the voice that sounds so much like Bastien it only adds to the heartache she feels. And she deactivates her invisibility chip, praying to all gods this time, that they might get back to safety.
