Nate Heard- the screams, same as Sam had, though his reaction was a far sight slower than the ascendeds was. He lost sight of the other man for a moment as he stepped into the guildhall proper, the sight of the flames in what he’d assumed to be a safe place affecting Nate more than what he’d expected. If he wasn’t out of his depth before (and he had been) then he was drowning right now.
Catching sight of Sam again spurred him out of his paralysis though. The ginger was the one person moving slowly towards the danger. ”Sam!” Nate ran forwards, grabbing the other man around the waist and tugging him back. ”We have to get out, come on!” There wasn’t time to put much thought to the others actions, just enough to start dragging him to the door.
