The winks from the fanged individual did not go unnoticed. Oliver would try his best to glance over at the other and look attractive. Or flirty. Or something. He even threw in a small wink before returning back to his work. Once the unknown girl finished up with Deimos, he'd probably try and talk with her to at least learn her name.
Things were going well...until they made an unfortunate discovery. Oliver heard a bit about what happened to the Monster Hunter's Guild, but he never expected that they'd find these...remains.
The tone immediately shifted and Oliver dropped any signs of flirting with Amun. It would be disrespectful to the dead, especially when they were to the point of being unidentifiable, or so he assumed. As Amun started to sing a song of mourning, Oliver stopped working and held his shovel against the ground. It felt wrong to continue working without paying proper respects to the dead. It was a harsh reality that he had to face, a heartbreaking one as well. It wasn't a pleasant thought in the slightest, not even close.
