It obligingly slipped away from his hand as he pulled it from the ground and set about re-shoeing himself so he could stand beside Kae once more. "Most of it is already written down," he pointed out mildly. "That's what our records are for, though you're welcome to make copies of them for your, ah, assignment." He still wasn't sure about this 'task from Rae' business, but it didn't hurt to go along with it until he found out more. Though since they had a moment...
