The Harpy misses her magic so intently, that she can’t help but to nod when he mentions it feels different. But he expands as she plants her flower and starts to put the dirt back into the hole, mixing it around with a small amount of more fertile soil, as she frowns to his response. “Hmm.” She replies thoughtfully, thankful for the distraction, something to pull her mind away from the shadows hiding nearby. “I bet it was surprising… Getting all these shifts and abilities so quickly.” She admits, looking to him as she moves down slightly to begin digging another hole. “You’ve managed it well.” There’s a hint of amusement there.
He promises her that she’ll be able to do it soon, and she nods. That’s her entire goal now, to get stronger and better before next LongNight. To stand a chance, this time, to grow and practice, train and become attuned to her shifts and which work best in certain scenarios. “I hope so. I look forward to it.” She mentions offhandedly, putting more dirt in a pile to the side as she grabs another flower. But as she does, a fleck of mud flies toward her (possibly on accident, probably not) and it lands perfectly on her cheekbone.
She’s surprised for a brief moment, before she can’t help the laughter of surprise that leaves her, and she lifts a flower in one hand, a bit of mud in the other, and flings it toward him before scurrying back to her little planting place. It feels good to forget, to stop wallowing, and she's sure she'll regret her pause in sulking eventually... But for now? Now it feels nice.
