More training, more and more practice, and perhaps something else to put her mind to other than wallowing might get her stronger and better – more able to do things, like Amalia can, like Deimos can. It’s a small goal, but one she focuses on when it comes to a new plan for her life. To become better, more rounded, able to do more than one thing. A small mercy among the frustration of the rest of everything that’s happening and happened.
Still, she’s surprised and amused when the mud comes flying over to her. The huff of laughter that leaves her, the mud that she throws toward him is reflected on the grin that he gives her in back. And gods when the mud lands right smack on his forehead, she can’t help the snort that erupts. She forgets her flower, slipping back into the mud and becoming a quite easy target for the mud that splatters along her neck and chest as she cackles.
For a moment, she tries to catch her breath, to ground herself again, but she finds the image of the mud smacking against his brow too good of a memory to forget so soon, and she goes to wipe the mud away in forms of war paint before she grabs another, shakily because laughter still racks through her body, and tosses it back over to him – without aim. It’ll probably miss, but her laughter and amusement with the initial attack is too good.
