The man is strange, as far as Sunjata’s concern. But he appears absolutely the least bit threatening, and as he begins to say hello and hop from his perch, Haai grows ever more intrigued. She stands, head peeking out from behind Sunjata’s short scruffy beard to pop a quiet howl of hello to Kaimana.
Sunjata straightens and rests his hands on the top of the rake as he turns to look toward the other man, amusement still very clearly in his face. “I’m trying to help clean up after the nightmare of LongNight. And there’s plenty of work still to be done.” He informs, tilting his head slightly. “What are you supposed to be observing?” He finally asks after a moment, before Haai begins to preen at the compliment — iridescent feathers spreading in full appreciation of the attention.
“Oh, I found her egg in the mud in the Outskirts. She hatched and bit me immediately, so she’s got some fire to her.” He snorts, feeling Haai clamor over his shoulder to the other to inspect the man further.
