She does not recognize the voice, though it certainly seems familiar: but so is every voice, these days, the bakery a popular place for others to gather and discuss. Perhaps this is a neighbor, then, or someone coming to collect the bread for the upcoming festival, to place an order for spring seed cakes. She expects something along those lines, benign and easy as a morning in the Spring should be.
She does not expect Rexanna, hooded and blindfolded, a stark reminder of the terrors of the Night.
"Rexanna." Amalia's voice is soft, uncertain, and she is grateful that the Ascended woman cannot see the discontent which flashes over her face. She does not move from behind the counter, not sure if the woman will need help navigating the shop and too anxious to ask. "How... how can I help you, today?"
