She’s surprisingly calm, and he sets the stick down while she writes her notes, gaze flickering over her notes as he stretches his legs out, finding one of them had started to fall asleep. Still, he remains silent while she then goes to pull out the tracking book she’d always kept and he watched her a bit sadly, sighing quietly to himself as he looks away. “Yeah.” He says quietly, wondering if he should tell her or not.
In the end, he does, because she probably deserved to know why he’d acted the way he had when they were together. “I, uh.” He starts to say, head tilting to the side to glance at her. “You’ll probably notice a pattern.” He shrugs toward the days where she may have kept track of their activities, seeing where the pattern may lie, how the time they had conceived had been an outlier. “I’m sorry,” he’s sorry for her because he knows how much it had meant to her. But he isn’t sorry for doing it, any of it.
