A healthy distance was exactly what Aonghas intended to keep from the Gods. The chip on his shoulder about the Gods in his own world was getting too large for him to ignore as it was without him having to deal with a whole new pantheon. Even in the little time he had spent in Caido it was blatantly clear the deities here played a little closer to the mortals than they ever had done back in his own realm. He let what Jigano said pass over him without further comment. The bard seemed wary, or at least not an outward advocate for heresy, but vocalising his own distaste for the Gods had never been a wise idea.
The cold waters seemed to knock the air from his lungs as he surfaced, hearing Jigano’s question and not immediately being able to answer Aonghas nodded fervently. Deciding the best thing to do would be to acclimatise to the temperature he dunked himself down to his neck and watched as Jigano made for the shore. The waters of the Oasis felt like the long missed embrace of a loved one… welcoming him home. He closed his eyes and his mouth curled into an almost pained smile as he allowed himself to completely sink under the freshwater. He tried to linger as long as he could, to recapture the feeling of home but forgetting, of course, that he no longer had the luxury of breathing under water. He resurfaced to the sight of Jigano flying down the chute much faster than the first time and thrashed out of the way.
Looking between where he had last seen the flecks of white hair and the chute with the broadest smile on his face all Aonghas could think was, that looked fun. Turning with a chuckle he began to wade his way back to the water's edge and back up to the chute. When reaching the top of the slope and running his hands through his sopping wet hair he looked down, finally answering the bard’s question in the manner it deserved. ”Aye it got this cold. So far I can say our seasons seem to match up so far.” Although two seasons in, he wasn’t certain.
”What of your land? Where you a Loreseeker there too?” He felt it polite to return in a similar vein of questioning. It wasn’t a term he had come across before, a Loreseeker, but he was sure he would learn many new terms from the Outlanders especially.
