Ingrid settled in to listen to his crash course on the Ascended, relaxing in her chair and letting down her guard. She couldn't help but feel at ease: the hearth crackled, the air smelled of parchment, and the word "hoe" was uttered out loud (by somebody other than herself). It felt like... hoe-me.
"Depending on whether you're willing or not? Who the fuck would do that willingly? I don't know about you, but when I say 'bite me,' I don't mean it literally."
She managed to hold the rest of her commentary until the end. It was a battle, and it involved a few pained expressions as she actually bit her tongue.
