THE RESURRECTED SWORD
How did you survive? they ask
How long did you suffer?
how dark did they tint your dreams?
“Very true,” he extended back to Jigano’s initial statement – no sense in utilizing magic, enchantments, or invocations to the point of exhaustion for something that might not even happen. The beast wasn’t entirely sure he’d be able to gain any new recruits or soldiers; if it would simply remain the core two – he and Loren – as the militia, holding down the fortifications. Zariah’s initial tyranny over everyone joining the force had likely held an enormous amount of people at bay when it came time for Wessex’s reign. But he was still there. The Sword would always give and defend as much as he could.

After finishing up their rounds, he followed Jigano back into the front room, where Oliver had apparently been falling apart. His eyes widened for a moment, a bit befuddled and confused by the haphazard mess, but everything was swept up, tidied, and completed, thanks in part to Sunjata’s meticulous efforts with the door. Jigano seemed intent on healing (which…left the General somewhat confused, but that could come later.

For now though, those who’d come to assist and help needed to be acknowledged for their efforts. Without them, he wouldn’t have completed all of this so smoothly, swiftly, or efficiently. “Thank you to all. This has been quite an accomplishment.” His eyes surveyed over the ramparts, the fortifications, head tilting to look out the window at the targets; a measure of success over his shoulders, and hopefully theirs, that hadn’t been there in seasons. “Let me know if you have a weapon preference, and it can be made for you.” There was a hint of a smirk etched in the beginnings of a smile; arms dealer at work once more, eager to provide them with some distinction for their efforts.

The barracks are complete!

Thank you to everyone! You all rock! It couldn’t have been done without you! Feel free to wrap up your final post, and if you want, Deimos can make you a weapon as a reward for your hard work. ;D
- until you had blood glistening on your teeth
- until your suffering paled in comparison to their own
- until you learned to enjoy the sounds of screams
