Relief flashes on his face when Amalia does know what he's talking about, spicy-sweet apparently, though it is gone just as quickly when she says she'll have to make a new batch. Now he's back to imposing, asking something of her when he has nothing to offer. Nevermind that that's what he came here to do.
The offer to help catches Peter off guard, and he has to stop himself from furrowing his brows in confusion. He is interested, he can't deny that, but... "I've never um... never baked, really. Never even really... cooked." A nervous laugh accompanies the words, and his eyes drift to the side, like hes suddenly afraid to meet her gaze. "I wouldn't be helpful." His weight shifts from foot to foot, and he leans back, making like he's about to take a step without ever really doing it. Like he's waiting for her to agree that he'd be a nuisance, so he can take that as a dismissal.
