Battles with lightly-armed opponents or magic users who didn't wield heavy weapons, running actions where speed mattered more than brute force, or most of all serving as support for logistics, supplies, and healing wounded.
Besides, for all the improvements made to his and Deimos' relationship recently, the General was not one that he'd ask for help with his newest form.
