”You are a tall one, aren’t you?” I make sure to hover just a little bit above his eye level, though he would tower over home if I stood on the ground. Then, I notice the dark shape, the gryphon who first noticed me, and I smile. ”Does every one of you people have a gryphon?” I ask, laughing. It seems like a fact I would have been told, so maybe this has just been a lucky coincidence on my end. My focus shifts quickly, and I reach out, hands cupping the strangers jaw, if he’ll let me, and tilting his head back and forth. Looking over the ink in his skin with a critical eye.
I am bolder here, in my own forests. It’s easier to be, the trees bring with them a sense of safety, and I am ever eager to indulge in it.
