Loren didn’t even get a chance to respond before Deimos shifted. This time, it wasn’t the form of a tiger or an eagle, but that of a bear. It was enough of a shock that between that and the pain, the summoner was slow to react. In fact, he didn’t even shift, not realizing this was the next stage of the exhibition.

So the grizzly’s paw smashed into the Launceleyn’s uninjured shoulder with another sickening crack, this time of breaking bone.

It was enough to drive him to the floor. In fact, he might’ve blacked out for a moment, or at lest greyed out. When he came to, he found himself staring at the sky above. Might be time for an intermission. His mental voice was a little giddy, a sure sign that he was going into shock. Jigano? Mind coming to pop my shoulders back into place? Honestly, the summoner wasn’t sure if he’d broadcast that thought to just the bard, or to every Attuned in attendance. Probably the latter.

Then Loren fell unconscious entirely.
