Well fuck, Sunjata hisses as everything they try to do is ineffective, and he focuses on watching the monster reform it self as it dodges Loren’s water. With a glance back to Phoebe he gives her a small nod, his own way of telling her to be careful, before handing her the dagger he’d grabbed before — just in case, though seeing the monster reform and reshape he doesn’t know if it even matters — and he sheds his jacket to the side, beckoning Haai to return to the group.
He watches Loren’s water magic try to split it in half, and he shifts into his panther form, darting under the stream of water, sharp teeth and claws aiming to swipe at the mud at the base, to try and keep it from moving forward.
Or maybe he’ll get swallowed, he can’t tell.
