RandoM EvenT Pure and muddy chaos, all of it. Water slicing, dragons clawing, fucking killer whales appearing out of nowhere and rocks sailing overhead. And still the (slightly smaller) Mud Monster ambled on. Granted, the appearance of something large directly beneath it did cause it to disperse somewhat, but it is a sticky business indeed. Loren's strike causes the creature to falter again, and more mud sloughs from its form, leaving it smaller still... but still formidable. The dragon does not deter it - neither the large summoned one nor plucky Pim - and it is by a hair's breadth that the claws of Loren's summoned creature do not scathe Sunjata as he bursts from his muddy prison. Sort of. The killer whale is able to take a breath, at least, but he is still floundering and drowning in the wake of the monster. Scratching and biting, alas, do not do much this time around. And Oliver's rocks yet again fall short of their mark in a display of fantastically terrible luck. And Phoebe - well. Mud creatures do not have hearts, but her dagger does strike true, and more mud comes slapping away to cover the group. Who knows why the creature comes in for Oliver again - perhaps it is the irritation of all those rocks hurled its way. Either way, a giant muddy arm takes a swipe at the hybrid, and connects with a sickening wham. Oh dear. Loren attacks the Mud Monster and HITS! Sunjata is partially freed from the mud! Pim attacks and MISSES. Oliver attacks and MISSES. Phoebe attacks and HITS. The monster attacks Oliver and HITS.
