Oliver took off. However, Loren didn’t have a chance to react as a wall of mud swung his way. As the monster slammed against Loren, the blow staggered him. Pain flashed through him, and the coppery taste of blood filled his mouth as he bit through his tongue Worse, though, the monster finally broke through the wall, and poured onto the festival grounds beyond. As he saw that, the summoner practically screamed out a battle cry.
Taking a deep breath, he centered himself as best he could, and plunged deep into heart of his magic. Then, he pulled on as many of the shards as he could reach, trying to stop them from raining down onto the grounds, transmuting them to water as best he could. Using that water, as well as the rest of water lying around, the Launceleyn blasted the monster with everything he could possibly get his magic on.
