He decides one thing very quickly. He fucking hates this mud. Immensely. And as he writhes and tears, he feels a small amount of weight lift. But it’s not enough, not enough as he tries to plow through it. Haai’s howl from above is indication enough of his fear and frustration and pain that seeps across to her. She dives again after missing, after the mud has reached the festival and starts plowing through.
Sunjata, in the meantime, uses his clawed hands to try and pull himself out of the monster — trying to attain some of the damage of the festival through the bruises he can already feel forming. He tries to flap his tail, tries to break the mud apart more, claws and teeth pulling through to try and get to the surface, to get away from the inside of the creature.
Haai tries to claw at it again, Sunjata tries to claw his way out of the mud monster!
