Hearing his name, his name, brought it all crashing down. The grit of the soil beneath his feet, the sun on his feathers, the heel grinding into the flesh of his ass as Ronin rode out his thrusts; all bursts of flame in what was already a blazing inferno within. He was hot and consumed and desperate and completely, recklessly, and blindly devoted to the man beneath him, but to hear his name...it was tethering and freeing.
Ronin's release was quickly followed by his own, the alchemist reaching a hand under the small of Ronin's back to draw him up for one final thrust. As he came he did so with snarls and shivers, his toes curled and Ronin's name moaned from shaky lips. Breathless with a dark cousin of joy, the alchemist shrunk slightly if only because he was suddenly exclusively human. He didn't reach to kiss Ronin, to thank him or offer proclamations of love. Instead, he fought for his breath, forehead against his lover's shoulder, as tears pricked the back of his eyes.
