If there was anything that could get her to react, it’s Frey. And he watches silently as the deity gets her attention, explains that it literally doesn’t mean anything, a nickname given to him that causes him to blink for a moment — but he says nothing until she decides what she wishes to do. She breaks out of her stupor, honey eyes finding him, apologizing and instructing to get it done. And he nods, offering his arm to her, gaze lifting to Frey with a small nod.
He turns from Harper and Frey and everyone else, guiding her and walking her toward the altar — not caring if it wasn’t how it was supposed to be done. It had already derailed so far, and at this point it was easier to just get it started, get it over with, move on and see if it worked or it didn’t.
“The feathers are a nice touch.” He offers, voice low as he lets her arm go to get her to stand where she should stand as he takes up the space he had before, steel eyes leaving her to look to Loren with a small nod. A small way of saying ‘let’s get this over with as quickly as possible’ as he reaches for that blue cloth again, waiting.
