Adam had pillaged the buffet for the best snacks and drunk a glass or two of whatever drink was available (the best part of weddings, every time, was the food) - out of a begrudging sense of politeness, no matter how dumb this wedding was, he decided to stay for the ceremony. Sitting near the back with his legs flopped out, casually laying over the chair, he waited for it all to begin.
When Loren asked for objections, though...maybe it was the extra liquid courage, but he couldn't resist the chance to stand up and point out that they could both just not do this and no one would lose -- yet the moment he stood, he found his mouth full. Wide eyed, he touched fingers to the ball filling his mouth, something he hadn't had there for at least ten years.
He sat back down, a little huffy (and sure Sunjata, the stupid idiot, was making a horrendous mistake), but admittedly amused by the method of silencing that had been chosen (he presumed by the Gods floating about). Hopefully ,he'd get to keep it.
This wedding was still dumb.
