He keeps his gaze mostly ahead, watching the feathers and the blues that were to resemble him, until Frey asks of the rings. He pulls his own out, placing it in Frey’s outstretched hand, gaze drifting toward the deity while they proceeded to lick each of them, and the sensation that followed was enough to shift his cheeks in hue to a somewhat reddened edge. He hasn’t expected the wedding to go this way, but with Frey here… He can’t say he’s surprised.
So he does as told, slips Phoebe’s ring onto her finger, gaze lifting when she gasps, some amount of confusion flashing across his face. But when Phoebe slides his own navy and black ring onto his finger, he understands as he feels the warmth spread within him, distracting from how much prior he hadn’t wanted to do this — clearing his throat and swallowing hard, he dips his head slightly with a surprisingly amused chuckle at that, lips curving slightly into a small smirk of his own, steel gaze softening when he looks and meets Phoebe’s honey brown.
