"You think going together will stop them attacking me? ..You think they won't be mad at you for bringing an Ascended?"
None of those concerns were as worrying as her hesitation to his question, or her answer. Sam sat back as she said she didn't know with wide eyes, clearly surprised. Not sure what else to say, he stuck to facts. "I won't...go nowhere. We go to The Voice. She has a place for us. It is the same as people going to Mort, just...a different place."
