As Libbs continued, she was unaware wholly of the depth of the conversations that this was going. Her mouth was moving, but her brain wasn't supervising today, letting her heart babysit for a while. Instead, it was focused on the weave. She reached the point where she had accidentally started weaving the wrong segment. She bit her lip as she carefully plugged the knot out of the equation, pleased when she was able to tug the other end of the basket without it falling apart. And then, she started to go back into the original plan of giving it some structure.
"I was told I was. A lot." she mumbled, blinking a bit. "I think.." she paused for a moment. "I think, it's because I.. didn't really want to give up myself. I don't really remember wanting to give everything up for someone. I don't remember meeting anyone that great. But I think, they wanted me to think they were that great.. and.. I guess; I didn't think the same way. Or perhaps I didn't pay enough attention. I used to forget my phone a lot when I was workin'." She paused for a moment, coming to a conclusion.
"I.. don't think I was a mean girl. I think.. I think I was just not the type of girl most guys wanted. And that's fine." she nodded.
She left the dead wife part lay. Honestly, because she didn't really know what to say to it. She never.. really lost someone like that. It'd feel disrespectful to speak to it. Though the next thought that came out of her mouth probably should have been censored.
"I ain't worried about it. Like I said, I ain't the apple of most guy's eyes anyways. Though, your wife sounds.. mean. And selfish. Seems kinda cruel to kinda force ya to do the things you don't wanna do, even if it was a bet. Love and marriage's a two way street, right? You can't take both lanes. Well.. you could, but you're an asshole for doing that." she said nonchalantly. Of course, this was just her current perspective mixed with a healthy dose of naivety. But her brain didn't catch that line before it left her mouth.
