Neron couldn't help but feel proud of himself for correctly identifying the flint; whilst this wasn't his initial idea for the afternoon, it was turning out to be quite productive. "At least you can get more practice with doing it," he remarked as she leant down and dug out the flint. "And perhaps it's just that I come from somewhere that doesn't have much in the way of grass. Rock is easy to spot."
They moved on and Neron cast his gaze across the fields, satisfied that the farm in the distance wasn't too far away - and the little blobs in the land around it were positive signs of cotton plants. He hoped they were, anyway. Raising an eyebrow at Libbs, he let a slow smile crawl across his face. "I don't make a habit of watering fields, no," he said. "I am the Warden of the Citadel, believe it or not. It's quite a busy role."
