Soon enough, however, he finds himself watching her wave him off, a cheeky grin sent her way. ‘Maybe I will’ echoing behind the walls of his mind. He dives again, ensuring that he does it in such a sense that it might splash the water at her again. And when he reaches the sides of it, further down that Melita could see, she finds a few rather fancy looking stones that he collects in one large hand, rising to the surface again by her to shake his head, hair sticking to the side of his face when he rises and hands her the stones.
