“I asked around for her and she came to me, if it helps.” He continues the slight stroke along her back with his other hand, withdrawing the hand at her cheek to run some of the water along the base of his neck, to wash over the compasses and scar, to wet the curls along the back of his neck and to let the water rush down from her arms as well. “I can teach you a few things for self defense, too, if the adventure turns harrowing.” Another rough response from his throat, his accent thicker once more as he spots the brightness of her smile, the excitement drawn beneath.
