His eyes find hers as she readjusts it on her finger, feeling every movement of it acutely, and he looks forward to run a hand through his hair, pinching the bridge of his nose as he exhales a shuddering sigh. “Because. You’re doing it to get a rise out of me.” Head angled toward the bar table, teeth grit. He’s sure she can feel it too, knows exactly what she’s doing.
