He didn’t see her at first, doesn’t see where she’d slipped and fallen into the snow, so he walks with that same amount of frustration on his brow as he scans the path ahead, the snow banks to the side. He sees and hears nothing aside from the bounding of giggles that erupt nearby. Turning to it and approaching it, he sees her laying in the snow with a bird of sorts atop her head.
“Phoebe, let’s go to the Inn.” He tells her, making no move to get her just yet. Instead he shoves his hands further into his pocket, staring down at her with the bundles of fur around his neck, around his body. “You’ll get sick if you stay out here.” Because that’s exactly what he needs now, too.
