Raising a brow and folding her arms across her chest, the illusionist offered the man a disappointed look. "In your dreams." Eloise huffed with annoyance. She watched unhappily as the man tossed the bottle to the side. Piggish though he was, being an asshole didn't make him not Sebastian, and so despite how uncomfortable all of this was, she had to endure it a little while longer to be sure.
"How nice for you." One, Eloise might have accepted the compliment with flawless appreciation. She had been a duchess after all and to snub the men in her social circles would have meant social demise. Here, wherever the fuck that was, the illusionist cared very little for how she was seen. Diminutive in size and quite pretty, she was often assumed to be someone's trophy wife or worse still, just a pretty idiot. Lukcily though, Eloise was neither.
"How high do the birds fly around here?" She asked, the words having all the hallmarks of a code-phrase.
