Little else has happened didn’t mean anything but a potential lull in the storm. The Grounds had experienced Zariah’s fast-moving pace, her unrelenting notion and need to use her militia, her soldiers, to threaten imprisonment based on almost nothing – Neron’s reign apparently wasn’t so overt in its methods. No grandstanding, no open forums, no waging war upon his own people. It wouldn't cease the world from hissing or chafing at the fact that he'd orchestrated himself as ruler, but it was bound to be better than Zariah's meager attempts at placating the public. Was Neron capable of extinguishing, or handling, her incessant need for tyranny, for stomping down upon their mountain-held citizens, or had she learned something from her time here? It was an intriguing conflagration of notions, and his fingers set to playing with his dagger again, running it back and forth along the digits, curling and coiling in precise manners, carefully musing in his machinations. “Interesting. Perhaps he has different tactics than the Merciless.” Or they were just biding their time, waiting for something else to strike. That’s all they’d done in her time – seemingly scrambling around trying to put out small fires, beating and grating at situations that only escalated moments later. “Hopefully her role will not amount to much.” But then again, they all knew better than that.Unite and spread the heart apart
