The box was pressed tightly against him and he winced, finally turning to look at the sailor. His eyes were filled with fear, but he tried to maintain a stoic expression, one that didn't reflect how he felt.
A cry erupted from his lips as he felt the slash of blade against his chest. Glancing down, red started to bleed into his top. His eyes widened with horror and fear. The cut wasn't too deep, luckily, but it was a cut for sure. "Please don't kill me...I'll do anything please." Almost anything, no brothels, but his mind wasn't working well enough to protest that. He wanted to escape. Torchline was a beautiful place, but also dangerous. He would come back, for sure, if he managed to survive.
In this moment, Oliver forgot that he could fight back. That he could try to push away the box. He wanted to bargain with the man, get out of here without being hurt anymore. Only if the man came at him again would he even attempt to use any magic. For now, though, he was filled with fear and was trapped. An animal stuck within a net, waiting for the hunter to make his decision.
