"Would you come back?" she asked, looking up at him with a pleading gaze, honey brown eyes glazed with tears she could no longer shed. "Would you move back to the clinic?" She didn't deserve it. She was in no position to ask such a thing of him. But she needed him. She did not know why, or how, but he had an uncanny ability to simply know what she needed, and she clung to it with all she had left.
