The alchemist didn't even bother trying to shift his gaze—even with the eyes of a hawk he'd not be able to see anything. He needed some sort of light source, otherwise he was effectively blind. Reaching out a hand to place it against the wall, he turned towards Sam's voice offering a crooked smile into the blackness. As the man's hand found his shoulder Remi flinched slightly before relaxing. It was strange to be touched by someone he didn't know in utter darkness, but reassuring as well, given the circumstances. "I am unhurt." The alchemist confirmed after completing a quick mental probing of his body and finding nothing that seemed wounded or in pain. "Are you alright? I did not know that would happen either.." Running a hand through his curls, the alchemist sighed. Glancing towards Sam's voice, Remi swallowed. Forward? He supposed that was the only real solution but..Remi couldn't see. "I cannot see any thing. How will we know what is ahead? There could be a chasm, or some sort of trap" Though Remi knew that Archebold was an ascended, he had no idea that the soft-spoken book-seller was as well, assuming him to be just as (literally) in the dark as the alchemist.
