Sam had screwed his eyes tight shut at the sensation of being drawn into the book, and didn't dare open them for a while even when he felt air around him and heard sounds of a forest. Slowly, carefully, he opened his eyes and immediately saw a horse - he took a step back. He had always been scared of large animals. He was even more scared when the horse began to speak.
He looked down to the floor and noticed the feather before he replied, trying to put the pieces of everything together. Gently, he touched his leather clothing, thinking it was the kind of thing he'd never dare wear.
"...J-Jigano..?" He said out into the clearing, knowing he'd heard his friend's voice but not believing it came from the source he thought. Stepping to the side to look around some more (then putting a surprised hand to the quiver on his hip as he felt it against his leg) he came to the conclusion that had seemed ridiculous. He looked at the horse. "...Is that...you? I-I don't know what's happening. Is this a dream?"
