Closing her eyes, she savored the feeling as his fingers threaded through her hair. For all that his heart beat a little faster than it ought, it was very calm and peaceful to stay like this. Quite unlike most of their previous run ins. The only times that really came to mind was that first languid day in the river, and a dark panther curled up on her feet... Too few, in truth.
