What did you think?” It was a glorious excitement, filled along the edges of her smile; portions of the sun, the shoal, the surf, ancient worlds coming alive before them all over again. She’d longed for the ocean in the same way she’d longed for the sand, for the dunes, for the coaxing, enticing heat of the sun – yesteryears in her mind, flickerings of a childhood long since left behind.
The mention of daggers had her grin curling into a more juvenile decorum, adorned by impish, devilish delight. “Sunjata gave me some daggers as a gift.” The enthrallment and excitement embroidered and woven along her features were enough to register she was a youth of simple tastes: weaponry, munitions, ways to pummel and devastate adversaries and enemies. “We’ll see. I’ll try anything.” Not a slouch in regards to gathering as many materials as she could – eager and ready to defend, to slash, to rip, and tear – the only things she’d ever really known or understood.
