Nate turned, still moving but backwards now, to give Sunjata a look of disbelief and amusement. ”Thought I’d made it pretty clear by now that I’m not a delicate kind of man.” He purred, grinning wide enough to show off his fangs. The look could only last so long, before Nate’s confidence wore off and he had to turn around again to avoid tripping.
A soft hum leaves him as Nate considers the suggestion that the tunnels might be marked in other ways, his head tipping this way and that. It seems less intentional, if it’s a simple wearing of stone.
”Just brows-“ Nate begins with a clipped laugh, before his scratching on the walls seems to awaken something in his chest. Without thinking too much, he starts to tap the rock he’s holding against the walls, taking slow, quiet steps, and listening for any difference in the noise. ”No... there’s something here.”
