She listens with interest, and she finds she is glad to know he enjoyed his old career. To be a spectacle seems either like a blessing or a curse, or perhaps both. She’s not sure she would enjoy it in the way he did, not that she isn’t a spectacle in her own right sometimes. A pretty girl with a scythe certainly drew attention, but no one was watching her with expectations of being entertained. ”It sounds like something we could use here.
