Nate couldn't help the laugh at Sam's returned comment. It was the only way to keep from biting back something truly nasty, and turning this into a fight. He was surprised when Sam came over though, grabbing onto the bird, enough that he just nodded quietly, and walked the hel clasped in both of their hands to the cage, stuffing the bird in along with the other one.
Something told him just two birds wouldn't be quite enough to satisfy Amun's requirements, despite the hassle of it. A quick scan around confirmed there were no more helpless birds, so Nate did what the others were and grabbed a rock, throwing it into the flock with all his might, ready to run and catch something if he felled it.
